You might not have known it but The VAXC’s 5th birthday is coming up! “The modern day Virginia Xterra club as you see it today was taken over by Josh Foster in 2013 and since has continued on strongly in part due to his efforts and others who dedicate themselves to seeing an active Nissan Xterra & Off Roading club in Virginia. Our first official off road event took place in May 2013 at Shoe Creek. The first official meeting of Virginia Xterra Club was held at Strangeways Brewing (Richmond, VA) on November 16th, 2013 with 6 members attending. Today Virginia Xterra Club has over 300 members and growing!” –www.vaxc.org We’ve met many new faces and made new friends along the way. Personally I can’t thank Josh Foster, Carrie Beasley, and all the members of the VAXC I’ve met along the way for introducing me to the world of wheeling and the offroad lifestyle, and I can’t think of a better place to celebrate the VAXC’s birthday and the recent changing of the guard than where I was first introduced to the VAXC and offroading and where we’ve all gathered regularly for the past few years. I hope to see as many of you as can make it, if you can’t don’t worry there will be more events coming across the state. Please invite your friends! Anyone with a transfer case and a smile is welcome!
